Co-founded by Sarah and Eric Melvin as a Fine Art & Strategic Design studio, the Encinitas-based company has evolved into an interdisciplinary brand with an expansive portfolio of art, design and brand collaborations.

The Arts Factory is driven by a passion to articulate a unique story, style and experience.

Eric Melvin, co-founder of The Arts Factory, and founding member of punk band NOFX. Known for his guitar, accordion work and the Mel Yell. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he is a musician, artist and transpersonal life coach.

His work has taken him touring the world as a musician, artist and public speaker.


Sarah Melvin, co-founder of The Arts Factory, is an Australian multi-disciplinary designer and artist.

Sarah received her academic training in fine art, interior design, Feng shui and human-centered design. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and a Masters Degree from the School of Design, Royal Melbourne Institute Of Technology (RMIT). 

She has worked in strategic ideation and design thinking across an array of industries and sectors finding, connecting and unlocking value in complex relationships for strategic design innovation.
